Hawliau Plant
 Children's Rights

Mae Hawliau Plant yn agos iawn at ein calonnau yn Ysgol Gynradd Llanilar. Rydym yn codi ymwybyddiaeth o gwmpas yr ysgol am Hawliau Plant er mwyn ein hatgoffa am eu pwysigrwydd.

Fel ysgol rydym yn helpu Sally Holland, sef Comisiynydd Plant Cymru, i sicrhau fod pawb yn Ysgol Llanilar yn gwybod am yr hawliau.

Mae gan yr ysgol Lysgenhadon Gwych sy’n helpu Sally Holland i gyflawni tair prif dasg - dyma nhw -

  1. Dweud wrth bawb yn yr ysgol am bwerau’r Comisiynydd.

  2. Dweud wrth bawb yn yr ysgol am hawliau plant.

  3. Gwneud tasgau arbennig yn ystod y flwyddyn i’r Comisiynydd.

Yn ogystal –

  • Rydym yn cynnal gwasanaethau ‘Hawliau Plant’ pob mis i sôn am beth yw Hawliau Plant a pham eu bod mor bwysig.

  • Rydym wedi paentio coeden yn y neuadd ac mae pob disgybl yn yr ysgol wedi addurno llaw i roi ar y goeden i ddangos fod pawb ynghlwm â hawliau plant.

  • Mae erthyglau o gwmpas yr ysgol mewn gwahanol fannau sy’n tynnu sylw at ein hawliau. Mae disgyblion Cyfnod Allweddol 2 hefyd wedi creu Logo ar gyfer ‘Hawliau Plant Ysgol Llanilar’.

  • Mae gennym ‘Cyngor Hawliau Plant’ sy’n helpu gyda’r gwaith.

  • Rydym yn annog plant a rhieni i ddefnyddio ein siop ail-ddefnyddio gwisg ysgol a chynllun ‘Shoeshare’.

  • Rydym yn cefnogi ymgyrchoedd ac elusennau lleol a chenedlaethol e.e. Danfona fy Ffrind i’r Ysgol; Achub y Plant; Water Aid; Soccer Aid; Glas i’r Tŷ Bach (Toilet Twinning);

Rydym yn gweithio tuag at Wobr Arian UNICEF ar hyn o bryd i fod yn ‘Ysgol sy’n Parchu Hawliau’. Cyflawnwyd y Wobr Efydd ym mis Mai 2020.

Children's Rights are very close to our hearts at Llanilar Primary School. We are raising awareness around the school about Children's Rights to remind us of their importance.

As a school we help Sally Holland, the Children's Commissioner for Wales, ensure that everyone at Ysgol Llanilar knows about the rights.

The school has Great Ambassadors who help Sally Holland achieve three main tasks - they are –

1. To tell everyone in the school about the Commissioner’s powers.

2. To tell everyone in school about children's rights.

3. To undertake special tasks during the year for the Commissioner.

In addition -

  • We hold 'Children's Rights' services every month to talk about what Children's Rights are and why they are so important.

  • We have painted a tree in the hall and every pupil at the school has decorated a hand to put on the tree to show that everyone is involved with children's rights.

  • There are articles around the school in various places that highlight our rights. Key Stage 2 pupils have also created a Logo for 'Ysgol Llanilar Children's Rights'.

  • We have a 'Children's Rights Council' that helps with the work.

  • We encourage children and parents to use our school uniform reuse shop and Shoeshare scheme.

  • We support local and national campaigns and charities e.g. Send My Friend to School; Save the Children; Water Aid; Soccer Aid; Toilet Blue Twinning (Toilet Twinning);

We are currently working towards the UNICEF Silver Award to be a 'Rights Respecting School'. We achieved the Bronze Award in May 2020.
